WATCH: Bear Sneaks Up On Simsbury Family

The black bear strolled from behind two adults who were watching three children play in their driveway.

SIMSBURY, CT — A family in Simsbury recently had a close encounter of the furry-and-clawed kind when a bear dropped in on them while they were enjoying some time outside.

WFSB Channel 3 posted the frightening surveillance video, which was sent in by Kristin Lee, that showed three children playing in their driveway with two adults watching them.

Suddenly, an unexpected visitor shows up behind the adults, prompting the quintet to quickly (and calmly) scurry into the house.

The bear didn't seem to care and it just strolled on by, oblivious to the situation.
