WATCH: Simsbury PD Tickles The Funny Bone With Canine Video

SIMSBURY, CT — The period of summer after the July 4 holiday weekend and Labor Day is, generally speaking, considered the "dog days of summer."

That was made clear in Simsbury Wednesday courtesy of a humorous post from the Simsbury Police Department about their canine crimefighter, "Clifton."

Featuring the town police department's cast of characters, the 48-second video is bound to cause a few chuckles and guffaws. (If not barks and howls.)
