WATCH: Simsbury's Solar Pitch Aims For Green Living, Sustainability
Residents can view a recent presentation online regarding the 'Powersmart Simsbury' campaign to encourage solar/battery power for homes.
SIMSBURY, CT — Local officials this week said those who missed a town-sponsored presentation last month about home solar power options in Simsbury can watch the event online.
As part of a campaign called "Powersmart Simsbury," the Town of Simsbury and the Simsbury Sustainability Committee hosted a presentation Feb. 25, at the Simsbury Public Library about state and federal incentives and tips for installing solar panels and batteries in your homes.
The forum addressed buying and installing solar and/or battery storage systems in residents' homes.

PowerSmart is a community-based, 20-week campaign to promote residential battery storage plus solar for homes.
Part of the campaign involves forums on the financial benefits of owning solar and battery storage, the federal and state incentives, as well as the environmental advantages.

Those locally who may have missed the Feb. 25 Simsbury event can catch up online.
Wednesday, event organizers released links to both a video of the event and a PowerPoint presentation, both of which are available for viewing.
