What Do You Want For Simsbury? Event Tonight Is Your Chance To Tell Town
Simsbury officials invite public input on zoning updates at the workshop covering housing, business, and sustainability.

SIMSBURY, CT — The Town of Simsbury will host a public workshop on Monday, March 30, to gather input as officials work to update local zoning regulations.
The session, organized by the Planning & Community Development Department, is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Simsbury Public Library, 725 Hopmeadow St.
An open house from 6 to 7 p.m. will allow residents to speak informally with town staff and a planning consultant before the formal workshop begins at 7 p.m.

According to the town, the workshop is intended to give residents, business owners, and other stakeholders an opportunity to “share ideas, raise concerns, and help shape the future of land use in Simsbury.”
Topics expected to be discussed include expanding housing opportunities, modernizing commercial uses, protecting environmental resources, incorporating sustainable design requirements, improving sign regulations, and other community priorities.

The session will begin with a presentation from planning consultant IMEG outlining the goals and framework of the zoning update.
Attendees will then break into smaller groups for facilitated discussions to provide feedback.
Town officials said public input will play a key role in shaping updates to reflect Simsbury’s long-term vision.
