Apartment Plan Denied For A Fourth Time In Southbury: Report

Neighbors wanted no part of the project.

SOUTHBURY, CT — It's strike four for Developer Kevin Bennett and his attempt to build an apartment complex at 390 Roxbury Road. Bennett was seeking to construct six apartment units and it was denied by the Planning Commission, the Republican-American reports.

Members expressed concerns over density and said it doesn't fit in with the overall neighborhood. At one point, Bennett sought to create 24 bedrooms as part of his plans, but he scaled it back to eight, but it still didn't sway members, the Rep-Am reports. Several residents opposed the project.
