Ballantine Park Pool is in Need of Significant Renovations: Report

SOUTHBURY, CT — Town officials say they need between $75,000 to $300,000 for much-needed renovations to the Ballantine Park pool, the Republican-American reports.

The Rep-Am says the pool needs significant work including re-coating work as the pool's floor is so worn that sometimes it scrapes peoples feet.

Other repairs needed include repairing the gutter around the pool, which can lead to leaks if not taken care of.

Officials say a new pool would cost $1 million.

The topic will be discussed at a 6:15 p.m. meeting Thursday at a Parks and Recreation Commission's subcommittee.
