The Southbury Women’s Club is busy behind the scenes gathering all of the many elements that will make this year’s 9th Annual Fall Fine Arts Festival of Southbury a fun and engaging community event. Sponsors, artist, handcrafters and entertaining activities are coming together. This year's event is scheduled for September 7, 2013 on the Southbury Green, 10 am to 4 pm rain or shine.
The club is happy to announce the continued sponsorship of ShopRite and Newtown Savings Bank, as well as the welcome addition of Southbury Music Studio and the Connecticut Community Foundation.
There are still booth spaces available for artists and handcrafters to sell their handmade art. 10’ x 12’ spaces are available for $65 if paid by July 31; $75 thereafter. Double spaces are also available.

Over the years this widely anticipated annual event has attracted numerous talented artists in various medium such as oil, pastel and watercolor painters, sculptures, textile artists, photographers, jewelers, woodworkers, potters, metal crafters and more. This event is a vibrant reflection of what artists across New England are creating now.
This year Weston-based painter Thomas Galasinski and Southbury painter Michael Piccirillo will be returning, as well as Photographer Georgia Sheron with her new book featuring photographs of her next-door neighbor, "Uncle John" Ludorf, a farmer who plowed with horses and milked cows by hand into his late nineties. Many new artists will be featured, including Newtown artist Suzanne Pisano of Suzdesign who will be offering unique jewelry featuring fabricated silver, fused and lampworked glass and enamels.
