FRC 2064 The Panther Project - Pomperaug High School Robotics Team is ready to kick off its 2026-2027 season and will hold an EyeRecycle bottle drive fundraising event on September 6th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at 800 Main Street South, Southbury.

Our team is ready to conquer this year’s FRC challenge and is grateful for the community’s support. Our team does not receive funding from our school district and relies on generous support from sponsors, grants, and community donations to cover the costs of parts and tools to build our robot as well as competition costs. All proceeds will go to the Pomperaug Robotics Team FRC 2064, and by donating to and/or sponsoring our 2064 Panther Project, your support will not only help us compete but also demonstrate your commitment to STEM education and youth development. The event is open to anyone regardless of residency.

Participants should note that Eye Recycle now requires aluminum cans to be in separate bags from the plastic bottles. Sort plastic bottles by size: under 1 liter, 1 liter, and 2 liters. Glass bottles must be brought in cardboard boxes to avoid breakage.

For information on what is accepted, presorting instructions, and the express lane, visit https://www.sustainablesouthbury.org/eye-recycle-event or email info@sustainablesouthbury.org.

Sustainable Southbury also accepts inkjet printer cartridges (not laser). The small proceeds earned from recycling printer cartridges benefit Sustainable Southbury.
