Controversial Southbury Housing Project Secures An Approval

The developer received an approval but it may not be the one he is looking for.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Kevin Bennett finally got an approval from the Planning Commission but it may not be the one he truly wants. The Planning Commission approved plans for two townhouses with four units at 390 Roxbury Road, but that is a reduction from what he sought, which was eight bedrooms and that was cut back to six, the Republican-American reports.

Bennett also has an application pending for a 14-unit affordable housing proposal. After the meeting, Bennett told the Rep-Am he's unsure what he'll do. Neighbors do not want any part of either project.
