In a video message, Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz said "Governor Lamont and I are endorsing Ed because we believe he has the knowledge of how local and state government works and he has the relationships with people at the local state and federal level to get things done." Edelson has also received endorsement from Speaker of the House Matt Ritter and House Majority Leader Jason Rojas. "Given the number of district-wide initiatives I have proposed as a candidate, my long-standing relationship with the leadership is critical to success. These are the people who make things happen in Hartford", said Edelson.

United States Senator Chris Murphy also threw his full support behind Edelson's campaign, praising his dedication and counsel. "Ed has been such a big help and counsel to me, from my early days running to my days in the United States Congress," said Senator Murphy. "I am thankful for the endorsement of Senator Murphy and Senator Blumenthal," said Edelson. "Their extensive work representing the people of Connecticut is commendable, and I am honored to have both of their support. In light of the recent flooding in Southbury, the need to work seamlessly between Federal, State and Local governments has never been more apparent. Together, we will work to address the challenges facing our district and state."
