Lunch and Learn Series: Freemasonry in Waterbury

Freemason Michael Forino, curatorial assistant of the Mattatuck Museum, will present a history of Freemasonry in Waterbury. This program will focus on the years leading up to the construction of the Waterbury Masonic Temple in 1912- 1914, now the Mattatuck Museum, and the years it was occupied by Waterbury Freemasons. The buildings architectural design and Masonic symbolism will be explored in addition to other grand Masonic structures from around Connecticut.The lecture will continue with a tour of the museum, where the historic functions of each room will be explained and supplemented with historic photographs.
