The Mattatuck Museum will honor Joel and Nancy Becker with the 2012 Brass Button Award on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Waterbury Country Club. The Brass Button Award recognizes outstanding contributions of an individual(s) in the greater Waterbury area who are dedicated to the cultural and social enrichment of their community. Like the Brass Button, they are resilient, and never stops shining; although the fabric around them may wear away, they prevail, making the community a better place by their consistent commitment.
