It's a Wonderful Life, Fineas & Ferb Christmas Vacation, White Christmas

Tonight's TV Tips.

It's a Wonderful Life, 8 p.m., NBC
OK, even I'm not watching TV right now. And frankly, you shouldn't be either. You should be drinking and figuring out how many more hours your mother-in-law is going to be in the house.

Fineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation, 8:30 p.m., ABC
The children, on the other hand, should definitely be plunked in front of the TV right about now to Calm. Down. They opened that one gift they are allowed and of course were deeply disappointed (and really, if it was pajamas, what did you expect?). Now they are focused on the Man in Red and his arrival, and they need distraction. This Christmas special from last year is awesome: "The boys must save Christmas when the holiday is canceled after Dr. Doofenshmirtz covers Danville in a cloud of naughtiness."

White Christmas, 10:15 p.m., AMC
Now, as you are killing time waiting for the kids to actually fall asleep (they have been up there for more than an hour and you have already yelled up the stairs, gone up the stairs, and issued two rounds of empty threats), pour yourself one last glass of nog and tune into this. "Former Army buddies put on a show with a sister act to save their general's hotel in Vermont. Starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney." So great.
