Knitting & Prayer Group Beginning Again

Calvary Chapel Southbury’s weekly Knitting & Prayer group will begin meeting again in the new year beginning Monday, January 5.

Whether you are an expert knitter, a beginner, or just want to learn, join them on Monday nights from 5:45 to 6:45 PM as they work on knitting hats for newborn babies born in to extreme poverty in Africa. If you don’t knit, but are able to crochet hats, your handiwork is also needed. If you would like to help, but cannot attend the meetings, donations of yarn are appreciated as well.

All are welcome. This is an opportunity to get to know new people in the community while using your talents for a worthwhile cause. Hats that were knitted by the group last year were distributed to a hospital in Malawi, Africa this past summer, where they were greatly needed.
