WILTON, CT — A historic Wilton estate listed on the Connecticut State Register of Historic Places has hit the market for $1.5 million.

The home at 651 Nod Hill Road, known as Frog Hollow, dates back to around 1825 and sits on about 2 acres bordering the 60-acre Weir Farm National Historical Park.

The property was reworked in the 1940s by architect F. Nelson Breed and landscape architect Vera Breed, the same team behind Weir Farm, with the goal of visually connecting the private residence to the surrounding parkland.

Original features, including brick flooring and multiple fireplaces, remain in place, while the home has been updated in recent years with a renovated kitchen, modernized bathrooms, a new roof and upgraded mechanical systems.

The grounds include landscaped gardens, a private pond and thousands of tulip and daffodil plantings, with direct access to protected parkland.
