Local Doctor Defends Manville Against Anti-Semitism Allegations
A local doctor refutes an allegation that he was present at a meeting six years ago where an anti-Semitic comment was stated.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Last month allegations surfaced that First Selectman Jeffrey A. Manville made an anti-Semitic remark outside of Town Hall four years ago. The allegation was made by the wife of State Rep. Arthur O' Neill, the Republican-American reports. Manville vehemently denied the allegations.
The allegations were brought to the Board of Selectmen but no action was taken. And a local doctor, Jeffrey Langsam, who is Jewish, was said to be present at a GOP Town Committee meeting six years ago where an anti-Semitic comment was said. It was alleged that Manville was present and said nothing when the comment was uttered.
But Langsam told the Rep-Am he doesn't recall the incident or an Anti-Semitic comment being said. He said he is saddened the allegation was made.
