Machinery, Golf Clubs, Purses Reported Stolen in Southbury

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A purse was stolen from an unlocked car in the parking lot of Walgreen’s Pharmacy, 270 Main Street South in Southbury, on Monday, September 10 between 4:15 – 6:15 p.m.

Several pieces of machinery were stolen from a local business earlier this week.

According to police, 10 plow edge cutters were stolen from the rear of Southford Garage, 1380 Southford Road in Southbury, sometime between 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 13 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 14. Each piece was valued at $300, bringing the total theft to $3,000.

Southbury police are investigating the theft of a golf club set from a Heritage Village garage.

According to police, the clubs were last seen in the garage on Sunday, September 9 and were contained in a light blue and silver bag.

Southbury police are investigating a criminal mischief complaint at Ballantine Park.

According to police, graffiti was spray painted on tables and the outbuilding in the rear of the park. The tag “Atlas” was written aside the graffiti.
