Man Arrested for DWI After Asking Police For Directions
The man was trying to find I-84.
Saturday, an Enfield man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after asking directions of a police officer while in his car.
An officer was flagged down by a motorist trying to leave the Mobil gas station on Strongtown Road. The driver, Christopher White, 27 of 10 Ash Street, Enfield was attempting to exit left from the right turn only lane and told the officer that he was lost and looking for I-84.
White said he was trying to get home to Enfield and was traveling from a friend's house in West Hartford. He appeared intoxicated and subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.
