The newly-renovated Old Town Hall Museum, run by the Southbury Historical Society, will unveil a new exhibit on local history

This year the Southbury Historical Society is celebrating 40 years of preserving local history. To honor the occasion the SHS will unveil a new exhibition devoted to local history during a Grand Reopening on Sunday, June 5th from 1 – 3 PM. Guest curated by historian Rachel Carley, the exhibition tells the story of Southbury’s transformation from a farming community to a suburban town.
Join us in our newly renovated main floor gallery at the Old Town Hall Museum, located at 624 South Britain Rd. (Rte. 172), for wine and refreshments. Rachel will lead an informal gallery tour at 2 PM.
Admission is free and families are encouraged to attend. Parking is available at the South Britain Congregational Church parking lot located across from the South Britain Country Store. For more information please call the Museum at (203) 405-3124. We hope you join us to learn more about the museum and its mission.
