New Southbury Movie Theater Project Nears Completion: Report
The project also includes a playhouse, retail, and an upscale restaurant.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Robert LaFlamme hopes that the force will indeed be with him in his quest to complete the new movie theater at 690 Main St. South. The opening of the new Star Wars movie is scheduled for Dec. 15 and LaFlamme is hoping to complete construction on the 42,500-square-foot facility prior to the premiere, the Republican-American reports.
The new movie theater will include eight screens, a restaurant, some retail and a couple of apartments. The owners of Market Place Kitchen & Bar in Woodbury will open a new upscale Italian restaurant, the Rep-Am reports.
A 130-seat playhouse is also part of the project. For more details and to view photos of the project read the full Rep-Am report here.
