Visitation: Friends may call at the Munson-Lovetere funeral home Saturday morning from 9:45 until leaving for Mass.

Southbury- Constance R. Kelly, 96 of Southbury, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at River Glen Health Care Center.

She was born in Naugatuck in the family homestead, daughter of the late Lucy (Carney) and Richard N. Rapieff and was educated in the Naugatuck schools.

Predeceased by Roger Kelly, husband of 49 years, who with his family, owned and operated Kelly’s Oak Tree Inn in the center of Southbury for over 50 years.

She worked in the office at Lewis Engineering until her marriage in 1945 and moved to Southbury.

A stay at home mother for many years and was active in the PTA, Cub Scouts, the American Legion Auxiliary and the now defunct Altar Rosary at Sacred Heart Church. As her sons grew older she went to work in the Southbury accessors’ office. Then accepted a position in a local law firm as a legal secretary, a position she held for twenty years.

She leaves her sons Roger E. Kelly Jr of Southbury and Richard W. Kelly of Bethlehem. Two Grandsons, Roger E. Kelly III of Southbury, Nicholas P. Kelly of Pennsylvania and a great-grandson Cullen Kelly of Southbury and Vermont.

She was predeceased by her sister Gen Fenton and a brother Ken Rapieff.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Southbury.
