Services: A mass of Christian Burial will take place 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Sacred Heart Church, Southbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.

Visitation: Friends may call at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North from 5:30-7:30 pm. on Tuesday.

Grace (Savino)Mastrorocco 84, of Southbury, died peacefully Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Danbury Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was the beloved wife of the late Domenic Mastrorocco.

Grace (Graziella) was born May 18, 1932, in Acquaviva Delle Fonti, Bari, Italy, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Laura (Moschetti) Savino. She met the love of her life (Domenic), when she was 13 and he was 16 years old. They finally married 12 years later and had beautiful, loving 51 year marriage.

Grace was a hard worker throughout her life, she had a career as a seamstress. She was a great cook and loved to cook for her family and friends. She loved her home and was forever decorating and redecorating it. Her best years were spent alongside her husband tending their vegetable and flower gardens.

She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and great sense of humor, her loving and generous nature, and her immense love for her family, especially her five grandsons. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends and will forever remain in their heart.

She leaves her children, Maria (Mastrorocco) Paterno, of Southbury; her son Joseph Mastrorocco and his wife Cathi, of Southbury; and her grandchildren, Robert Paterno, Jr. and his wife Sarah, Nicholas Paterno, Michael Paterno, Joseph Mastrorocco and Justin Mastrorocco: five sisters, Teresa, Donna, Lina, Rose, Carmela and their spouses; two brothers, Vito and Frank and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Giovanna Di Gioia.
