Thomas Joseph Donnelly III, 57, of Southbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in his home. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Sharon, and two children, Thomas IV, and Kristen.

Tom was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 22, 1958, son of the late Thomas Joseph Donnelly II and the late Kathleen Anne (Brennan) Donnelly. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1982, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Tom’s passion for engineering brought him to exciting careers at Oceans Technology, United Technologies, and CSC.

Tom was a hard-working man who brought detail, care, and passion to the work he did. He was also a man of laughter and generosity, who loved and supported his family very much. He enjoyed golfing, the Boston Red Sox, gardening, cooking, and listening to music.

In addition to his wife and children, Tom leaves behind his sister, Margaret Donnelly Moran, and her husband, Charlie. Tom also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Anne Minatti, his father-in-law, Louis Minatti, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
