Obituary: Vincent G. DiCara, 89, of Southbury

Vincent G. DiCara, 89, died at The Hearth on Friday, May 13th. He was the widower of Anitra (Cuseo) Spaccarotella and Josette (Pierre) DiCara. Mr. DiCara was born July 26, 1926, in Elizabeth, NJ, son of the late Phillip and Victoria (Grossi) Spaccarotella.

He served in the US Army and retired as a Colonel. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by five children: Bruce Spaccarotella and his wife, Peggy, of Omaha, NE, Dana Spaccarotella, and his wife, Mary, of Papillion, NE, Stephane Colbert and his wife, Patti, of Sandy Hook, CT, June Nielsen and her husband, Jeff, of Norwich, VT and Karen Jellow and her husband, Rick, of Parkland, FL; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his son, Chris Spaccarotella

Private graveside services will be held in Bridgewater. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
