Owl Crashes Into Window In Southbury, Makes Full Recovery

The owl took three weeks to recover from its injuries.

SOUTHBURY, CT — On Dec. 18 an owl crashed into a window at the Southbury Green shopping center and after being cared for by Animal Control and a wildlife rehabilitator the owl has been released back into the wild, the Republican-American reports.

The owl suffered a concussion and needed a few weeks to recover and was released at the back of the shopping center complex. Officials wanted to release the owl at the center because it's likely she had a mate nearby and was familiar with the area.

Mary-Beth Kaeser, owner and founder of the nonprofit Horizon Wings: Raptor Rehabilitation & Education, told the Rep-Am at one point the feisty owl bit her.
