Police Blotter: Attempted Sexual Assault and a Foiled Burglary

July 5
23-year-old Newington man charged with Possession of A Controlled Substance or Narcotics. [This incident was not in our July 7 blotter as its report was approved on July 8]

An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Southford Rd, further investigation led to the arrest of the driver, a 23-year-old Newington man, for possession of Marijuana.

23-year-old Stamford man charged with Driving Under the Influence and Unsafe Movement on the Right
An officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Main Street South come to an abrupt stop approaching the exit 15 westbound on-ramp on I-84. The vehicle continued onto the ramp and was driving into the shoulder.
A motor vehicle stop was conducted leading to the drivers arrest, a 23-year-old Stamford man.
July 12
Police searching for two unknown Burglars, chased out of a residence by a dog
At 4:40 p.m. two unknown white men in their twenties unlawfully entered a house on Munn Road, but fled on foot after being chased by a dog in the home.
One burgler was identified as about 6'3 and thin with brown hair — who was wearing a black sweatband around his arm at the time — and the other as 5'7 and muscular with sandy blonde hair and dark facial hair —who was wearing a red tank top and cut-off jean shorts during the incident.

July 13
Southbury police, assisted by State Police Western District Major Crime and Naugatuck Police, arrested 41-year-old Robert Bizewski of Oxford for criminally attempting the following charges: Risk of Injury to a Minor, Sexual Assault II, Enticing a Minor and Misrepresentation of Age to Entice a Minor.
Police had been monitoring online, sexual conversations Bizewski had been having with a 14-year-old girl since May 2010. After Bizewski arranged to meet the girl for sex on Tuesday on Main Street North, police waited for him at the arranged time and place and arrested him when he arrived.
Bizewski was held on a $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court Wednesday.
