Police Blotter: Identify Theft, Failure to Appear

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An identity theft and impersonation report was filed with the Southbury Police on Tuesday, August 28 at approximately 2:00 p.m.

According to police, an account was opened with DISH Network in the name of an individual without their knowledge.

Southbury police are currently investigating the report.

Eric Pemberton, 32, of West Haven, was charged with failure to have taillights, driving with a suspended license, failure to carry insurance and 2nd degree failure to appear on Wednesday, August 29 at approximately 10:05 p.m.

According to police, Pemberton was pulled over for a motor vehicle stop on Route 34 and transported to Troop ‘A’ in Southbury.

Pemberton was unable to afford his bond and was and was held overnight before being sent to Derby Superior Court Thursday.
