18-year-old Charged with Possession of Marijuana on School Grounds

An officer was patrolling the area of Pomperaug High School when he saw an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot.   While investigating the vehicle, a second automobile pulled into the lot.  Upon making contact with the driver of the second car, the officer observed Marijuana in the center console of the vehicle.  The driver, an 18-year-old Middlebury man, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana within 1500 ft of school grounds.

Naugatuck Man Arrested for DUI

An officer observed a vehicle traveling erratically on Strongtown Road weaving in its lane and crossing the center line.  After making a wide right turn onto I-84, southbound exit 16, the vehicle nearly struck the center guardrail.  A motor vehicle stop led to the arrest of the driver for driving under the influence and improper turning.  The driver is a 35-year-old Naugatuck man.
