Pomperaug River Experiencing ‘Moderate’ Flooding

The Pomperaug River is experiencing “moderate” flooding throughout the town of Southbury, according to Southbury Firefighter Lieutenant Jason Decremer.

There is extensive flooding on River Trail in Southbury and Decremer said he estimates well over 100 trees have fallen on wires and roads across town.

Decremer reminds all Southbury residents, although the storm has passed, it is highly advised to stay off all town roads throughout the remainder of Sunday.
