Charged Pomperaug Teachers Resigned After School Year

The Republican American is reporting that the teachers resigned at the end of the school year.

Two Pomperaug High School teachers charged with crimes involving their students resigned at the end of the school year, according to an article in Friday's Republican American newspaper.

School district officials could not be reached for comment.

One teacher — Christopher Bantz, 40 — was charged with sexual assault in the fourth degree after sending sexually explicit text messages to a student.
