Region 15's School Chief Decides Her Future: Report

SOUTHBURY/MIDDLEBURY, CT — Region 15 Superintendent of Schools Regina L. Botsford will be departing the district on June 30, 2019 after she decided against having the Board of Education approve a contract extension, the Republican-American reports.

Botsford said she wants to spend more time with her family in the future. School officials praised her performance leading the school system. Botsford has been at the helm since 2013. She said she's enjoyed her time here and has more work yet to accomplish.

School officials will begin the process of picking Botsford's replacement.
