Reward Offered in Southbury Arson Fire: Fire Marshal
The blaze occurred Monday on Housatonic Trail.

SOUTHBURY, CT - A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the arsonist who set fire to a Housatonic Trail home Monday night in Southbury, according to Fire Marshal Barry Rickert.
"We determined it to be incendiary in nature," Rickert told the Waterbury Republican-American. "We posted reward signs on the property. We ruled out all the accidental possibilities."
The fire was reported by a neighbor just after 10 p.m., and no injuries were reported. The ranch-style home, which has been deemed a total loss, was vacant at the time and is owned by Virginia-based Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp.
