Sen. Berthel Takes Oath of Office

Berthel won the Feb. 28 special election to fill the vacant seat in the 32nd Senate District.

From the Office of Sen. Eric Berthel: With his family and Senate Republican President Pro Tempore Len Fasano looking on, Sen. Eric Berthel on Mar. 3 took the Oath of Office in the historic Senate Chamber of the State Capitol. The oath was administered by Secretary of State Denise Merrill.

Berthel won the Feb. 28 special election to fill the vacant seat in the 32nd Senate District. He will serve on several legislative panels, including the Insurance and Real Estate (Vice-Chair), Banking (Vice-Chair), Appropriations, Judiciary, and Internship Committees. Berthel represents Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Middlebury, Oxford, Roxbury, Seymour, Southbury, Washington, Watertown and Woodbury. He can be reached at 800-842-1421 and at Eric.Berthel@cga.ct.gov.
