Small Brush Fire Extinguished Near Southbury School: Report

SOUTHBURY, CT - Firefighters extinguished a small brush fire near Gainfield Elementary School Tuesday afternoon after someone discarded smoking materials, the Republican-American reports.

Fire officials told the Rep-Am because of the dry conditions fires like these are much more likely and residents need to be careful about not discarding ashes or cigarettes.
