SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury residents voted overwhelming to approve both the town budget and the Region 15 Board of Education budget on Wednesday. Middlebury residents voted against the Region 15 budget but there were enough yes votes from Southbury to more than make up the difference.
The Board of Education budget of $69.1 million hikes spending by $1.8 million or 2.8 percent, the Republican-American reports. The town side of the budget will be $22.08 million next year or an increase of $272,000 or 1.23 percent increase.
