Southbury Finance Director Reverses Resignation, Gets Raise

Finance Director Daniel Colton said he didn't like his office being caught in political crossfire.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury Finance Director Daniel Colton briefly resigned, but then changed his mind and will now make $20,000 more a year along with new duties.

Colton said the finance department was being dragged into political infighting, according to the Republican-American.

He came back along with the $20,000 raise and will now oversee the tax office as well in town. He also got agreements from politicians in town to leave his office out of politics, according to the Republican-American.
