Southbury Garden Club Announces 2018 Award Winners

The winners have designed and maintained gardens and landscaping that greatly enhances the overall beauty of Southbury.

The Southbury Garden Club has announced the 2018 winners of their annual awards of excellence to local businesses and corporations who have exhibited exceptional planting and landscaping.

Club President Cheryl Smith and Civic Co-Chairs Irma Lesson and Judy Dechello presented this year’s awards:
-- "Newcomer Award" goes to Adam Broderick Salon & Spa on Main Street South
-- "Independent Business Award" presented to Candido Associates, which owns and manages the Southbury Shoppes at 14-24 Oak Tree Road and includes the Southbury Package Store, Skullery Barber Shop and Subway
-- "Continuing Excellence” category awarded to Southbury Green
-- Special Certificate of Appreciation presented to Regency Centers, owners the Green, in recognition of their heroic clean-up efforts after the devastating tornado which decimated the town on May 15th

The Southbury Garden Club meets at the Southbury Public Library on the first Friday of the month from March through December. Prospective members are welcome.
