Full Time or Part Time Positions
Assistant Town Clerk/Assistant Registrar of Vital Statistics – Full time with benefits. Performs statutory, regulatory and charter responsibilities specific to the recording and reporting of land records, vital statistics and other official documents, special and general elections, and issuing of various permits and licenses and the collection of related fees. Requires proficient computer skills. High school graduate supplemented by business and commercial courses, plus one year of related experience. Director of Senior Services – Full time with benefits. Oversees the Senior Services Department. Plans and administers social services and programs for the Town. Must have ability to supervise a staff of professional, para-professional and support staff; work with the public; prepare the department budget; prepare and administer grant proposals; prepare information and make referrals regarding local, state and Federal programs; serve as town Veterans representative and analyze social problems for referrals. Knowledge of municipal agent law, principals of social and senior services, and laws relating to senior citizens and other vulnerable groups. BS or BA degree in Social Services or Health Related field, plus three or four years of relevant experience. A combination of educational background and relevant work experience may be considered. Public Works Director – Full time with benefits. Responsible for planning, organizing and directing departmental activities in the areas of general road and bridge maintenance; snow and ice removal from town roads; maintenance of town buildings and grounds; sanitary and storm sewer maintenance; solid waste handling and recycling; maintenance of municipal parking lots; equipment and vehicle maintenance; procurement of vehicles and equipment; and procurement of services related to public works functions and operations. BS Degree in Civil Engineering is required; MS Degree in Civil Engineering is preferred. Minimum of ten years of experience in public works, construction management or civil engineering.
