Southbury Library Looking To Hire 2 Assistants

Full Time or Part Time Positions

Library Assistant at the Southbury Public Library. 18.5 hrs. per week. Schedule includes Monday 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.; Tuesday 1:30 to 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Included is a half hour unpaid break on Tuesday and Saturday. Works in Adult and Children’s Department. Responsible for all circulation procedures and shelving books. Must have good communication skills, working knowledge of clerical duties and working knowledge of computer skills. Ability to work effectively with the public. Graduation from High School or equivalent. Applications must be received by May 28, 2019.

Temporary Summer Position at Public Works Department. 40 hours per week, no benefits. Cuts grass, maintains planting beds, trims shrubbery and ornamentals, and performs other outside maintenance duties as assigned. Open until filled.
