Southbury Looking To Hire ​Director of Parks & Recreation

SOUTHBURY, CT — The town is advertising to find its next director of parks and recreation.

Director of Parks & Recreation. Full Time with benefits. Administers and executes policies established by the Board of Selectmen in consultation with the Parks & Recreation Commission; develops and supervises, promotes recreation programs, including but not limited to planning programs and events, marketing, policy development and implementation, maintenance and safety. Recruits personnel, as approved; participates in budget preparation and controls department expenditures consistent with budget appropriations, provides control and oversight to all financial activities of the department.

Graduation from college with a B. S. degree in Recreation or Leisure Services, plus three to four years of related experience. Deadline for receiving applications is February 15, 2019. Applications are available online or at the First Selectman's office, 501 Main Street South, Southbury. ADA/EOE.
