Southbury Officials Update Residents On Flooding Conditions

Even though the rain is beginning to diminish, residents in low lying areas could experience flooding due to increased water flows from upstream. While we are not expecting major flooding, if you are in a low lying area please exercise caution and pay attention to water levels. There is the potential the water levels could continue to rise during the evening and night time hours. Do not hesitate to evacuate if water levels rise.

At the current time there is no mandatory evacuation in place, this is an advisory message only. If available, Southbury PD will perform hourly checks of the water levels but this will only occur if they are not performing emergency response duties. If you experience an emergency, please call 911.
