Southbury Planning Commission Issues Tentative Decision On Controversial Apartment Proposal

Area residents have strongly opposed the apartment project saying it's all wrong for their neighborhood.

SOUTHBURY, CT — A controversial six apartment proposal planned for 390 Roxbury Road on a 2-acre parcel will be denied, according to the Republican-American.

The Planning Commission authorized a resolution to deny the project, which residents vehemently opposed.

Officials said the plans didn't fit into the character of the neighborhood. The developer did reduce the initial plans from 14 to 6 units but in the end it didn't change commissioners thoughts about the project.
