Southbury Police Officers Will Soon Wear Body Cameras Again

Southbury police officers will soon be wearing body cameras once again, the Republican-American reports.

The Police Department purchased 10 body cameras back in 2014 but the program was quickly halted because of complex legal questions including Freedom of Information and privacy concerns, the Rep-Am reports.

But those issues have been cleared up and the town plans to purchase 15 more so each officer will have one and there will even be a couple of spares.
