SOUTHBURY, CT — The Southbury Planning Commission is postponing Thursday night's Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) Open House in Town Hall due to the current surge of COVID-19 cases, as well as a staffing shortage due to the coronavirus.

"The open house will be held in-person at a later date once COVID-19 cases have decreased," officials wrote in a statement. "The Planning Commission wants residents to feel safe to attend the open house and offer their input. An announcement will be made once the new date has been finalized."

In the meantime, the consultants from SLR International are prepared to work with the Planning Commission to hold a virtual community forum to gather data necessary for the POCD update. The consultants are experienced in gathering information through this platform; more information about this event will be released in the near future.
