The call involves a man claiming to work for the IRS saying he has an arrest warrant for a resident who has failed to file taxes. The caller then says he can dispose of the matter with a cash payment.
According to the paper, a Southbury resident received this call on Saturday. Police say this call is part of a scam and the number involved is 707-327-2609.
