Southbury Selectmen Don't Like Toll Idea

The Board of Selectmen voted 4-2 in favor of a symbolic resolution against tolls.

SOUTHBURY, CT — The Board of Selectman voted 4-2 in favor of a symbolic resolution against tolls on I-84.

Selectman Mike Rosen voted against it and said the resolution was completely meaningless, lacked substance and didn't give residents a chance to voice their opinions, according to the Republican-American.

Gov. Ned Lamont recently pitched a new transportation plan that calls for 14 tolls on I-84 and other major highways. The plan's future seems dim after it got lackluster support from state Senate Democrats.
