Southbury Town and School Budget Referendum Information
Residents will head to the polls later this week to vote on the proposed budgets. Information includes where to vote and how to register.

- May 3, Noon: The last date to register to IN PERSON or ONLINE. (Click to go to Connecticut Online Voters Registration.)

- If you don’t know if you are registered to vote, you can look it up at Voter Registration Lookup website.
- Election Day Voter Registration is not available for Referendum.
- Property owners who are not registered voters in Southbury may vote at the referendum providing they are U.S. Citizens, at least 18 years of age and own property valued at $1,000 or more recorded on the Southbury Grand List as of October 1, 2015.
Polling Location and Time:
- All voting will be held at the Firehouse at 461 Main Street South.
- All elections, primaries and referenda are from 6AM - 8PM.

- Absentee Ballots
- Absentee Ballots are available for May 4, 2016 School and Town Budget Referendum at Southbury Town Clerk's Office. Click to view Absentee Ballots Media Release.
- Permanent Absentee Ballots
- Any elector who is permanently physically disabled can receive an absentee ballot for referendum without reapplying. Click to find out the details.

- Proposed Town Budget
- Annual Town Meeting will be held on May 2, 2016 to discuss the 2016-2017 proposed municipal budget.
- Proposed Region 15 Budget
- Southbury Community Services offers transportation for Southbury residents age 60+ and those with disabilities. If you need a ride to the polling place, please call 203-262-0652 to reserve the ride. Reservations must be made no later than 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 3rd.
- Voters must provided identification to vote at the polling place. Acceptable forms of identification include: a driver’s license or other photo ID; U.S Passport; a pre-printed form of ID, like a tax bill or utility bill, pay stub or bank statement; Social Security card or other government document that shows your name and address; a document that shows your name and signature (i.e. a credit card).
