Southbury's Grand List Declines Slightly: Report

Officials put the numbers in perspective after the recent revaluation process.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury's grand list dropped by 0.4 percent in 2017, the Republican-American reports.

Officials say the very slight decrease isn't bad news as it was coming off of a revaluation. Back in 2012 after revaluation the grand list declined by a staggering 21.5 percent. The grand list declined by $8.66 million from 2016 to 2017, the Rep-Am reports.

The one area where the grand list did grow was in the motor vehicles account. That rose by $2.77 million.
