Southbury's Wireless Zone Hosting 8th Annual Backpack Giveaway
The event will be held locally at at 100 Main Street North, Southbury, CT.
From In 2018, the National Retail Federation estimated that the average parent will spend $112 dollars on school supplies, and an average total of $685 on clothing, electronics, accessories, and supplies. Watertown's Wireless Zone is working to alleviate the rising costs of school supplies through the eighth annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway in partnership with The Cellular Connection (TCC) and Culture of Good.
On Sunday, July 21st between 1 pm and 4 pm, more than 1300 Wireless Zone® and TCC stores across the U.S. are inviting local families and their children to visit participating locations to pick up a backpack filled with various school supplies, including pencils, paper, folders, a pencil box, ruler and glue. This is expected to be the biggest year yet, with more than 235,000 backpacks expected to be delivered in 2019.
The event will be held locally at at 100 Main Street North, Southbury, CT, 06488
