Teen Drove 115 MPH in Southbury on I-84: Report

William Kopley, 18, of Waterbury is accused of speeding in excess of 100 mph while being pursued by police in Southbury on Interstate 84 around 2 a.m. Thursday, the Republican-American reports.

At one point in the pursuit, Kopley hit 115 mph, police said, while adding they tried to stop the vehicle, but the suspect kept driving.

His vehicle ended up coming to a stop on Strongtown Road off of Exit 16 and he was charged with numerous offenses including engaging police in pursuit, the Rep-Am reports.
